Amos 5:4-8

4 For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:

^a“Seek me and live;
5 but do not seek ^bBethel,
and do not enter into ^cGilgal
or cross over to ^dBeersheba;
for ^eGilgal shall surely go into exile,
and ^fBethel shall come to nothing.”
6 ^gSeek the Lord and live,
^hlest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph,
and it devour, with none to quench it for ⁱBethel,
7 O ^jyou who turn justice to wormwood ^{▼▼Or to bitter fruit}
and cast down righteousness to the earth!
8 He who made the ^lPleiades and Orion,
and turns deep darkness into the morning
and ^mdarkens the day into night,
who ⁿcalls for the waters of the sea
^oand pours them out on the surface of the earth,
